Look, every time there's a big story about immigration or enforcement, rural folks like me get thrown in the mix as if we’re just background noise in a political theater. Not every farmer is waving a flag against immigration, nor do we see our communities as just pawns in some grand political game. The reality is, we rely on immigrant labor to bring in the harvest. Our livelihoods depend on this. But when politicians swoop in for a photo op wearing shiny new boots, it feels like a slap in the face. If they really cared, they'd spend a day...
